General Steps to obtain your Teenager Driver Permit and License Cost
- Be at least 15 ½, but under 18 years old.
- Take the online Driver Education Course after you complete the course and pass the Quiz, we will issue you the Driver Education Certificate (DL400C) to you. (please allow 5-7 days of mail delivery)
- Bring this certificate and your birthday certificate to DMV. (No appointment is needed, just walk-in)
- After passing the permit test, you may call our school 1-408-646-9144 to schedule the driving lesson.
- Remember, by the California traffic law, the minor's first two hours driving must be with the driving school's instructor. (The instructor will sign their name and Lic. number on the minor's driving permit to prove it)
- Upon completion of 6 hours behind-the-wheel training, we will issue you the completion certificate (DL400D) which you need it for your driving test.
- You must wait 6 months after the date you got you permit, and you may make appointment for your DMV driving test.
- Within the period of time, you must practice the behind-the-wheel driving not less than 50 hours (including 10 hours night time driving) with someone whose with California Driver License and over 25 years old. And they need to sign their name on the permit before the driving test.
